Silsden Storm U9’s vs Ossett Trinity Tigers

November 26, 2025

Final Game of the 2025 Season

This morning’s clash between Silsden Storm and Ossett Trinity Tigers was more than just a game, it was a celebration of growth, grit, and the closing chapter of a shared journey. Both sides brought energy and flair, but it was Storm’s blend of resilience and creativity that truly lit up the pitch.

Defensive Steel
Storm’s defence stood tall for much of the match, absorbing pressure and working as a unit. While Ossett managed to sneak through for a couple of tries, Storm’s defensive shape and commitment showed real dominance in key phases, a testament to their season long development.

The attack took a little time to click, with the two-error rule catching us out early on. But once the rhythm returned, Storm surged forward with confidence. Individual brilliance and team cohesion combined for a flurry of tries, showcasing the squad’s attacking depth and flair.

Standout Moments
– Bob and Matilda each delivered full-length field efforts that had the crowd on their feet, pure pace and determination.
– The moment of the morning? A last-tackle masterclass from Owen, whose perfectly weighted kick was chased down by Harry S for a thrilling finish. With three Storm players in hot pursuit, it was a try built on teamwork and anticipation.

End of an Era
Today also marked a heartfelt milestone the final game before our girls branch off to form the new Stormettes team in 2026. After four years of shared triumphs and memories, the split is bittersweet. But the future is bright for both squads, and the legacy of unity will carry forward.
