Silsden Storm U8s Match Report vs Doncaster Toll Bar
26th October 2025 (Home Game)
On a cold, wet pitch, the kind of cold that makes every catch sting and every tackle bite, Silsden Storm U8’s took to the field for their final game of the season. And true to form, they brought the storm.
Facing a strong and physical Doncaster Toll Bar side, the U8s showed exactly what they’ve become known for this season; fearless running, relentless defence and a team spirit that never fades, no matter the weather.
There were some brilliant runs up the middle and textbook defensive work that kept Doncaster on the back foot.
The team’s voices echoed across the field, driving each other forward with every hit and carry.
Elliot was unstoppable in defence, earning the Top Tackler award for his bravery and determination.
John’s powerful runs and big tackles impressed both sides, earning him Silsden’s Man of the Match from Coach Dean and Magic Moment from Doncaster.
Freddy’s grit and consistency saw him pick up Man of the Match from Coach Paul, while Ronnie’s pace and all-round effort caught the crowd’s eye, securing him the Supporters’ Man of the Match.
It was a fitting end to a fantastic season, full of heart, noise, and the kind of rugby that makes everyone proud to wear the Silsden badge.
