Match Report: Keighley Albion U9 vs Silsden Storm U9
Sunday 22 March | Cougar Park

Silsden Storm U9s put in what can only be described as their best performance of the pre season so far in a closely contested match against Keighley Albion.

From the start, both sides showed real intent, making it a competitive and exciting game throughout. The game took place at teh home of Keighley Cougars – Cougar Park, and Keighley Albion brought some strong energy, but Silsden matched it every step of the way with determination and growing confidence.

What stood out today wasn’t just individual moments, but the full team performance. Every player contributed, whether it was strong carries, brave tackling, or supporting their teammates across the pitch. You could see the progress this group is making, things starting to click, little partnerships forming, and a real sense of playing for each other.

The crowd played its part too. A brilliant turnout from supporters created a great atmosphere, with encouragement coming from the sidelines for every run, tackle, and try.

While the match remained tight, the biggest takeaway for Silsden Storm was the performance itself. This was a team growing in confidence, showing resilience, and really starting to believe in their ability.

A fantastic effort from all involved and a big step forward for this young Storm side.

Big thanks to the Silsden Storm U9 sponsors, Rendacoat, SR Scaffolding and Northern Mechanical Services. Also thanks to Keighley Cougars for hosting the game.
