Silsden Storm are incredibly proud and grateful to have been chosen by the Silsden Veterans Association as the recipients of their very first donation to a local community project.
The donation is a fantastic gesture from an organisation that continues to do so much for the community. For them to select Silsden Storm as the starting point for their community giving means a great deal to everyone involved with the club.
Grassroots sport relies heavily on the support of local people and organisations. Behind every training session, match day, and team shirt are volunteers, parents and supporters working together to give young people the chance to be active, build confidence and create friendships that last far beyond the pitch.
The Silsden Storm U9s were delighted to meet members of the Silsden Veterans Association and were more than happy to pose for a photo together as a way of saying thank you for their support. It was a lovely moment and a great way for the players to show their appreciation.
This generous donation will help the club continue to provide opportunities for children and young players across Silsden and the surrounding area to take part in rugby league, develop their skills, and most importantly enjoy the game.
There’s something quite special about the connection between community groups like the Veterans Association and local sports clubs. Both are built on teamwork, respect, resilience and supporting others. Values that sit right at the heart of Silsden Storm.
On behalf of all the players, coaches, volunteers and families at the club, we would like to say a sincere thank you to the Silsden Veterans Association for their support and for choosing Silsden Storm as the first project to benefit from their community initiative.
Your support will make a real difference to the club and the young players who wear the Storm badge with pride.
