A Cold Morning, Warm Company: Storm’s First Walk & Talk

January 4, 2026

Saturday 3rd January marked a small but meaningful first for Silsden Storm as we hosted our very first Walk and Talk.

Just over 40 of us wrapped up warm and set off together along the canal on a crisp, frozen morning. The kind where your breath hangs in the air and your hands are grateful for a hot drink waiting somewhere ahead. And yes, that stop came at the Canal Side Café. Coffees, proper butties, and the sort of easy conversation that flows when no one’s in a rush.

There was plenty of chat. A lot of laughs. A few cold toes, probably. But mostly, a real sense of togetherness.

Moments like this are a good reminder that Storm is about more than rugby. It’s about community. About friendship. About creating space for people to connect, especially at a time of year when getting out the door can feel like the hardest part.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the walk. You made a chilly January morning feel genuinely warm.

Here’s to many more Storm moments like this, on and off the pitch
