Silsden Storm Celebrate a Season of Heart, Graft and Growth at 2025 Presentation Night

November 26, 2025

Silsden Storm wrapped up another big year of rugby with their 2025 end-of-season presentation night, held at Sunnybank Social Club in Silsden. The room was packed with families, coaches, and players from every age group, all buzzing with that mix of pride and nostalgia you only get when a season comes to a close.

It was one of those nights where you could feel how far the club has come. The confidence. The friendships. The tiny moments that built into something a bit special. And the awards told their own story.

Under 8s

The youngest Storm side stepped up in a huge way this year.

John picked up the Rob Burrow Award for Dedication, a nod to his consistency and heart.

Most Improved was shared by Elliot and Ted, two players who quietly grafted all year.

Bobby took home Parents’ Player of the Year, while Noah earned the title of Player of Steel.

And in a standout sweep, Ronnie was voted both Players’ Player and Coaches’ Player of the Year, showing just how much respect he’s earned across the squad.

Under 9s

The U9s looked sharp all season and their awards reflected a team growing in confidence.

Bob was named Clubman of the Year, the kind of lad every club wants.

Oscar earned Man of Steel, while both Harry S and Harry H were recognised by parents and coaches respectively.

Quinn secured U9s Player of the Year, and Owen took another Coaches’ Player spot.

Rounding things off, Oliver Woodward was named Most Improved Player of the Year.

Under 10s

The U10s have turned into a tight, impressive squad.

Lucan received the Coaches’ Award, with Archie taking Man of Steel for his strength and drive.

Eddy was awarded Most Improved, while Ben earned Clubman of the Year for his attitude on and off the pitch.

Dexter rounded off the group with Parents’ Award of the Year.

Stormettes

The Stormettes have had a brilliant season and their award winners showed just how much talent is coming through.

Jess was crowned Club Girl of the Year, with India taking the coveted Girl of Steel title.

Bo earned Most Improved, Amy was voted Players’ Player, and Daisy closed the evening with Coaches’ Player of the Year.

By the end of the night, trophies were clutched in proud little hands, coaches were smiling in that tired but satisfied way, and parents were already talking about next season.

It felt like a proper community moment. A reminder that rugby in Silsden is about more than results on a fixture list. It’s about the kids who turn up in the rain, the teams who back each other, and the club spirit that keeps growing stronger, year after year.

Here’s to another brilliant season… and an even bigger one in 2026.
